Q: At our age, how should we approach fashion trends? Join them, modify them, avoid them?
Simon Chang: “Fashion trends should always be adapted to fit one’s own style regardless of age. Trends come and go; having a personal sense of style, and knowing what really works for you is always age appropriate.”
Peter Nygård: “While it is wise to be selective, (No bare midriff tops, please!) we should feel free to ‘embrace’ fashion trends. Shop for brands, like ‘Bianca Nygård’ that interpret the latest trends in a way that is understandable and flattering! As age should never limit a woman’s activity, so should it never impose limits on her sense of style! Women today age more gracefully than in the past; they keep their energy and vigour longer. For this reason, women should embrace and continue to enjoy fashion on a personal, fun, and genuine level. So, join in and modify trends. You should never avoid fashion. If the style fits your personality and mood, go for it! You will be able to carry it off with the proper fit and your sense of confidence.”
