What You Need:
- 3 ¼ cups milk (2% preferred)
- 6 ounces white chocolate, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
What You'll Need To Do:
-
Warm up a pan of water and bring to a simmer.
-
Place your white chocolate in a medium metal bowl in the water. Allow the chocolate to melt as you stir occasionally to avoid it burning. Stir until it it smooth and rich.
-
Add your cayenne pepper and cinnamon to the chocolate.
-
Whisk the egg into the chocolate and continue until the mixture is back to it's smooth and rich state. (The bowl should still be heated in the simmering water).
-
Slowly pour and whisk in one cup of the milk until it is completely blended. This should take you about two minutes.
-
Next whisk in the remaining milk, raising the heat until it is hot (but not boiling or simmering). You want to avoid a skin forming on the top.
-
It is ready to drink as soon as it is at your desired temperature. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon to finish it off and serve.
