WHAT EXHIBITORS HAD TO SAY ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCE IN THIS YEAR'S 55+ ACTIVE LIVING CELEBRATION• Very worthwhile and enjoyable!... • We had a great time and in fact booked two client appointments right at the show with many more anticipated as we follow up with folks... • This was the best show in the four years that we have been participating!... very well organized and well attended. We will be participating next year and are requesting a double booth... • We found it very beneficial and even saw two clients come directly to our office on the same day as the event... • It was successful for us and we would certainly consider doing it again next year. I was amazed at the number of visitors to the show, especially that many of them were from up-island... • I felt the event was extremely well managed. SAVE FUTURE COST OF PST PORTION OF HST BY PREPAYINGAs announced in the 2009 British Columbia Budgets, effective July 1, 2010, the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) will be replaced with a value-added tax that will combine the federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) with the current PST, to create a Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).
In BC, the provincial portion of the HST will be 7% and the federal portion will be 5%, for a combined HST rate of 12%.
Senior Living Magazine is offering our clients the opportunity to pay their contract up front in order to avoid the PST portion of the Harmonized Tax, effective on all services before July 01, 2010.
If you know your contract will be up for renewal in the upcoming months, prepayment is available for as far in the future as you would like to pay.
If you would like to review your options regarding this, please contact your Sales Representative and he or she will have the Accounting Department invoice you for whatever portion of your contract you wish to prepay. Payment must be received prior to May 01, 2010.

HOW TO EASILY RECYCLE YOUR OLD CELL PHONE FOR FREERecycle My Cell is a free national program that enables Canadians to properly dispose of their cell phones and other wireless devices and accessories. The program's Web site is maintained by the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association. The site allows consumers to simply enter their postal code to locate the drop-off location closest to them where their devices will be accepted, regardless of brand or condition. If you can't drop off your old cell phone in person, the site also provides postage-paid labels that consumers can print, so recycling a wireless device is always hassle-free, at no cost to the consumer.
