Another Successful 2013 Senior Expo... And getting ready for 2014

Senior Living would like to thank all those who attended our 8th annual Senior Expo on Tuesday March 12th at Pearkes Recreation Centre in Victoria. A steady stream of visitors moved throughout the exhibitors hall, gathering information about activities, products and services - all geared for seniors.

It was an exciting day starting off with the lively music and choreography of the Zumba Gold dancers followed by the Edelweiss accordian club band rolling out the barrel. In keeping with our cultural theme for the event, toe tapping music kept the atmosphere upbeat and lively with performances ranging from the 6 piece Kimbana Marimba band to the celtic Cookeilidh quartet. A special thank you to Sidney Senior Care for their generous sponsorship of the stage. Thank you also to the cultural associations that attended and offered dance performances, music and other activities representative of their ethnic roots.

Over 125 exhibitors attended - from senior groups and charitable organizations, to businesses offering specialized products and services for seniors. Despite a steady rain for most of the day, gate attendance was estimated well over 2,500. Aisles were filled from early morning to closing, with exhibitors describing the flow as steady, providing the opportunity for quality interaction with prospective clients.

In an after-event survey of all exhibitors 86% rated the overall experience as very good to excellent.  88% said they plan to participate in the 2014 Senior Expo.

If you are a business and your target market is seniors, this is the best place to be to network with other businesses and meet customers face to face.

Senior Expo 2014

Slap on your cowboy hat, pull on those boots, and come out to our 2014 Senior Expo HoeDown on March 11, 2014 at the Pearkes Recreation Centre. Line dancing, chili cookoff and maybe even some mechanical bull riding... plans are underway to bring you a full filled, entertaining day.

SENIOR GROUPS & CLUBS
Are you a group of seniors that enjoys an active lifestyle (sports, hobbies, travel, etc.)? We want you at our event. Come share your interests with other seniors. Limited number of spaces available. Cost: $TBA. Limited number of spaces available. Applicants will be selected by the organizers on the basis of variety, activity, age and relevance.
