St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 1701 Elgin Road, Oak Bay presents the fourth Advent Lunchtime Organ Concert on Wednesday, December 14 from 12:10 to 12:50 pm. Curt Bergen will play 20th Century Music. Admission is by donation with proceeds going to The Hospice Bereavement Fund. Bring your lunch; coffee and tea are provided.

Congregation Emanu-El Synagogue, 1461 Blanshard Street, Victoria will honour and remember Rabbi Leonard Cohen by singing his songs and reading his poems, drinking tea, eating oranges that come all the way from China. Come join us and the many wonderful musicians and poets who will share their music. We’ll take it slow, we’ll make it darker, we’ll dance to the end of love, we’ll say so long to Marianne and Suzanne and the Sisters of Mercy. Come join us for a night of celebration and sorrow. Admission is by donation. If you have a story to tell about Lennie, a song to sing of his, bring it along!
