The Festival welcomes Montreal violinist Chantal Rémillard to perform with Festival Director Marc Destrubé several of the extraordinary Sonatas for two violins by François Couperin’s younger contemporary Jean-Marie Leclair, often described as the ‘’Corelli of France”. The audience will also experience remarkable keyboard music by Couperin, as well as appreciate why the viola da gamba was Louis XIV’s favorite instrument, thanks in part to the composer Marin Marais. This concert is preceded by a complementary coffee hour at 10am.
