Photography is a great way to connect with the beauty and sacredness that is all around us. Whether photography is your hobby, your passion, a way to preserve memories, or even your livelihood, you will be inspired by this presentation to follow your soul as you learn new ways to see.
Judy Hancock Holland is an award winning Nanaimo photographer who pursues photography as a spiritual practice. She has won numerous local competitions as well as the CAPA first place gold medal at last year’s Photo Salon held at VIU, and was published in Photo News Canada last fall. She has studied with several fine teachers including Freeman Patterson, and counts Georgia O’Keefe and Imogen Cunningham among the artists who have influenced her. She is a Level 1 graduate of Miksang Contemplative Photography and views photography as a form of meditation. Her work has been featured in several galleries and is presently carried by the Salish Sea Market. Judy enjoys mentoring other photographers and is available for workshops and one-on-one coaching.
