The PreTenors from Edmonton, Alberta have been entertaining audiences all across North America for the past 15 years with their irreverent brand of operatic comedy. The show seems simple: A tribute to the 3 Tenors. Well…that's how it starts out that anyway, then it quickly degrades into hilarity as the three performers take on the larger than life personas of Pavarotti, Domingo and Carreras giving a unique take on their relationships to one another. The musicianship is world class and consists of the most popular Opera arias ever written as well as some more contemporary music that Tenors should probably never attempt. It's hard to try and describe why this spoof of the 3 Tenors has found so much success over the years, but it is most likely because it's beautiful music performed by three friends who have a great deal of fun together. And isn't that what making music is all about?
The show is fun for all ages and stars Trent Worthington, Michel Landy and Kieran Martin Murphy who was Jean Valjean in last years mega hit Les Miserables for The Arts Club Theatre, and is currently playing The Big Bopper in Arts Club's The Buddy Holly Story.
Jeremy Spurgeon will accompany them on piano.
