Staying healthy is a complicated process, defined by our past, our present, and our expected and shared decisions about how to live. Do we choose short-term pain for long-term gain? Or rather, do we indulge in fleeting but much needed pleasures? In this forum, we will discuss new insights from the emerging field of health psychology about what influences our everyday decisions about how to stay healthy, and how our health depends on our life pursuits, goals and happiness.
