Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra Symphony Concert

The next Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra concerts are coming up at the end of June. Under the baton of Music Director Norman Nelson, the concert features the very talented young cellist Elspeth Poole performing Elgar's "Cello Concerto, Op.85 in E minor". Also on the programme: Mendelssohn, "The Hebrides Overture, Op. 26" (Fingal's Cave), and Brahms' "Symphony No. 1, Op.68 in C minor".
For the concert on June 25 in Sooke, we have partnered with the Edward Milne Community School Society. A portion of every ticket sold will support the Sooke Community Theatre renovations. For the concert on June 26 in Victoria, we have partnered with the Victoria Conservatory of Music. A portion of every ticket sold will go toward the operation of the Conservatory.
Tickets are available in Sooke at Shoppers Drug Mart, South Shore Gallery, Wood Travel; in the West Shore at Tom Lee Music; in Metchosin at Metchosin Country Store, in Victoria at Long & McQuade, Larsen Music and Ivy's Book Shop, as well as at the door for both venues. Tickets for the June 26 concert in Victoria will also be available at the Conservatory.
