The Sidney and Peninsula Literary Festival

Join fourteen renowned Canadian authors who will engage book lovers with readings from their works, panel discussions, and writing workshops. Participating authors are Gary Barwin, Pat Carney, M.A.C. Farrant, Katherine Govier, Pauline Holdstock, Anosh Irani, Jack Knox, Scaachi Koul, Kevin Patterson, Yasuko Thanh, Guy Vanderhaeghe and Jan Zwicky.

Our Friday night opening event, Wine, Word and Music, features live music, brief readings, and a conversation with authors. Author Tillar Mazzeo will host the evening.

Readings are held on Saturday between 9 am and 3:30 pm.

Two writing workshops are being offered on Saturday. Robert Wiersema will present “Living the Writing Life” at 9 am and Charlotte Gill will present “In the First Person: The Art of Personal Narrative” at 1 pm.

On Saturday evening Victoria author John Gould will lead a panel discussion entitled “Courage”.

Enjoy the opportunity for a conversation with one of the authors at our popular Breakfast with the Authors on Sunday morning. Authors will give brief readings
