Ask questions and listen to informative speeches from occupational therapists (Magma Rehabilitation), road safety professionals (Roadmasters Safety Group), transit professionals (BC Transit & HandyDart) and scooter dealers (Island Mediquip) about safely operating scooters & powerchairs on the buses, roads & sidewalks. Learn how to load scooters & powerchairs onto and off of the BC Transit bus & HandyDart. Learn the 'rules of the road' when it comes to scooter safety and awareness. Learn about physical and cognitve requirements needed to operate a scooter or powerchair. Learn about new scooters & powerchairs available on the market and how to maintain and service them.
