Ever wonder about the history of that old brooch you inherited, or the value of that brightly coloured glass vase you snapped up at a garage sale? Drop-in appraisals will be available all day on a first-come-first-served basis. Items should be small enough to carry, with a maximum of three items per person allowed and each verbal appraisal is $8, or three items for $20.
The appraisals will be conducted by Gale Pirie, an accredited member of the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group with many years of experience in valuing estate goods. She recently returned from a busy tour of western cities as an appraiser with the CBC's Canadian Antiques Roadshow, and we're delighted she's bringing her knowledge and expertise to the Retro Design & Antiques Fairs!
