AfriGrand Caravan Finale
South Vancouver Island
Wed. November 10th, 2010 7:30pm - 9:00pm
Victoria is The Stephen Lewis Foundation's AfriGrand Caravan's 36th and final stop on its coast to coast odyssey now under way. The tour honours and celebrates the lives and stories of an AIDS-impacted grandmother and granddaughter.
As hosts for the caravan's grand finale, the Victoria Grandmothers for Africa invite you to enjoy an evening with Tsabile Victoria Simelane (56) and Thandeka Carol Motswa (19) from Swaziland. They will present on-the-ground perspectives on the devastation HIV/AIDS has wrought in their lives and what is being done to try to turn the tide of this disease in Africa.
Victoria's Arbutus Singers and ChoirKids will provide a musical celebration to inspire us all.
