This challenging and beautiful work "African Jigsaw" tells the story through singing and visual media, of the drift of populations away from the land, which is failing to support them, to the cities. It raises awareness that in the cities, extreme poverty is only a few steps away from wealth and vitality. We need to consider how we might go about solving this imbalance of wealth. "African Jigsaw" does not offer the answers but instead paints a sympathetic picture, placing fragments of the puzzle before its audience.
This will be a wonderful event for everyone. The text is poignant and powerful and the music - simply beautiful. The enthusiasm of the children in the choir is a tonic and their passion for the music inspires all who hear them.
