Heart and Stroke Foundation

Life. We don’t want you to miss it. That’s why Heart & Stroke works to prevent disease, save lives and promote recovery. We must generate the next medical breakthroughs, so Canadians don’t miss out on precious moments.Over the last 60 years, we have invested more than $1.45 billion in heart and stroke research, making us the largest contributor in Canada after the federal government. In that time, the death rate from heart disease and stroke has declined by more than 75 per cent. www.heartandstroke.ca

The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s mission is to prevent disease, save lives and promote recovery. A volunteer-based health charity, we strive to tangibly improve the health of every Canadian family, every day. Healthy lives free of heart disease and stroke. Together we will make it happen.

North Island Wildlife Recovery Association

The North Island Wildlife Recovery Association is a non-profit organization, serving the growing need to assist injured, ill and orphaned wildlife.  Continuing urban and industrial expansion means the demand on our facility will increase.  As we have no direct, continuous government funding, this kind of work is made possible by volunteer assistance, memberships, wildlife adoptions, and generous public donations.
