Mike Broughton (Son) Richmond BC
"Johanna was referred to me by my Mom's family physician. 'Jo' literally bridged the gap between my life in Richmond and my Mom's in Victoria. Although my Mom lives close to me now, I will always be thankful for the peace of mind I had knowing Mom's 'care and company' needs were being more than met in my absence. And a job well done for Johanna's adorable four-legged assistant, Maggie. I highly recommend them both."
Ann Clausen (Daughter) - Richmond BC
"For over two years, Johanna has been visiting my 97-year old mother providing pastoral care on a twice-a-week basis. Johanna has a big, generous, and tender heart for people and especially for seniors. As she visits, she listens, encourages, supports, and loves. Among the many things she does, Johanna reads a variety of material to Mum, including from the Bible; sings with and to Mum; listens to Mum’s stories, writing them in a memory book; gives loving leg rubs, etc., when necessary and sometimes just holds Mum. Always, she ends her visits with a time of prayer, asking Mum what her requests and concerns are. Johanna is insightful, thoughtful, and flexible in responding to Mum’s feelings, cares, and needs as well as to any suggestions we may have as a family. Her visits are tailored to who Mum is as a person. Johanna, at times, has also been an advocate for Mum. For us as family in another city, Johanna is an invaluable asset, giving us feedback regarding Mum as well as advising, supporting, encouraging, and affirming us. She is a gift to us all!"

“ Sometimes in our life, we have the good fortune to meet those rare individuals who truly inspire us - Jo Booy is such a person. As a person with young onset Parkinson’s I had the privilege of working one-on-one with Jo as an exercise therapist. She designed a realistic workout routine and set incremental goals based on my capabilities and limitations. Jo went out of her way and researched additional Parkinson’s related information on the Internet, which I have incorporated into my daily workout routine. She is a ‘client oriented’ individual who’s energy is geared toward personal wellness, vibrant health and aliveness. Jo is a skilled Medical Exercise Specialist and I recommend her ‘without reservation’!”
Dr. Ira M. Robinson (Client) - Victoria BC
" I don't know what I (or my wife) would have done without the services of Johanna Booy and staff of Care & Company. Since May of 2010, Johanna has provided me with useful exercise therapy in my home and referred me to the Geriatric Physio Department at the Royal Jubilee Hospital where I received further exercise therapy for various physical conditions. When my wife planned out-of-town trips, Johanna coordinated evening companionship for me. In addition to the exercises, she comes several times a week to attend physician and specialist appointments, take me out for shopping and errands. In summary, Johanna & staff of Care & Company have been invaluable to me personally, as well as easing the load my wife would otherwise have."
Dr. C. Galanos (Family Physician) - Victoria BC
"I have known Johanna Booy for the last five years in a professional capacity. I am a Family Physician in Victoria and have performed some extra work with 'Elderly Outreach Services'. Furthermore, Jo has attended some of the patients in my practice so I believe that when I recommend Jo as a fine caregiver to the frail elderly, that my recommendation is first hand and solid. I know of no other person I would rather have take care of my own kin should they need it. Jo is an experienced, reliable, personable and trustworthy individual to her clients and she has my highest recommendation. You will find none better!"
