Publishers Attend FCNS Golf Tournament
We had a great time once again at the annual Family Caregivers Network Society golf tournament on September 14th. It was a fun afternoon with sunny skies and exuberant people. Barry and I played alongside Stasia Hartley from Bayshore Home Health and Ann Margeson from Home Instead, and ended our match on the 18th green with a high five. (Photographer Robert Jirucha caught up to us at that moment and snapped this photo.)
Family Caregivers is a wonderful agency, providing information and support to people who are caring for a family member. Barry and I have been primary caregivers for the past 15 years to my sister, who is a quadriplegic, so the efforts of this organization are well understood and appreciated. Caregiving, without adequate support from those around you, can be immensely challenging and draining. FCNS is there if you need to talk, need to find some resources, or gain some perspective on your situation. Give them a call. Just about every person will, at some point in their life, be a caregiver. We're pleased to be a sponsor and supporter of this worthwhile organization.
